The problem

Producing angles, statics, videos and copy takes days per product. And an AI video platform loses money on its best customers if model spend is not capped.

What I built

A multi-tenant SaaS with credit billing, an enterprise API and an MCP connector. A router picks among 14 AI video models, with fallback chains and a hard budget cap per clip.

Technical details

Idempotent credit ledger: a partial unique index makes a double debit impossible
Postgres row-level security down to column privileges
Scraping hardened against SSRF: DNS revalidated at every redirect
Stripe webhook of over 3,700 lines: upgrades, refunds, disputes, paid trial

The result

Each clip has a hard cost ceiling by plan ($0.30, $1.50 or $2.50). Without it, a $499 plan could cost $512 to serve.
